EU-based multi‑cloud backup & recovery
Your cloud backups, under your control — even on‑premises.
BackupSphere.EU backs up AWS EC2 and Azure VMs on schedule, and optionally keeps a full disk-image copy on a NAS inside your own building. One console, both clouds, restore anywhere. Completely Europe-based.
- EU-based platform
- HMAC-signed module traffic
- Encrypted stored credentials
- Per-organisation isolation
Why teams choose BackupSphere.EU
- One backup workflow across AWS and Azure
- Optional physical copy in your own building
- Centralized scheduling, monitoring, and audit
- Restore in the cloud or from a local image
One platform for cloud backup and off-cloud recovery
BackupSphere.EU combines provider-native cloud modules with a central web console, so your team manages credentials, schedules, downloads, and restores in one place — across both clouds.
Multi-cloud backup modules
Provider-specific services snapshot your AWS EC2 instances and Azure VMs through consistent, signed APIs.
- Azure module deployed from Azure Marketplace with Managed Identity
- AWS module deployed with a guided CloudFormation setup
- Unified workflows for backup, export, download, and restore
Unified web console
One control plane for operators and admins: see every job, schedule, and restore across providers.
- Backup scheduling and retention management
- Live job status, diagnostics, and history
- Organisation-level users, roles, and audit visibility
On‑prem NAS image copy
Optionally download full VHD/RAW disk images to a Synology NAS stationed inside your building or warehouse.
- Physical copy beyond cloud-only recovery
- Resilience against account-level cloud incidents
- Supports compliance and customer assurance needs
How it works
From first deployment to a verified restore in three steps.
-
1
Connect your cloud
Deploy the Azure module from Azure Marketplace into your subscription, or set up the AWS module with a guided CloudFormation template. Least-privilege access from day one.
-
2
Schedule backups
Pick your VMs, set schedules and retention in the console. Snapshots run in your cloud; optionally download full disk images to your on‑prem NAS.
-
3
Restore anywhere
Restore VMs in the cloud from snapshots, or recover from the local image copy on your NAS. Every job is tracked end to end in the console.
Trust & security, built in
Security is part of the architecture, not an add-on. Every claim below is how the platform actually works today.
EU-based platform
BackupSphere.EU is operated from Europe. Your optional NAS copy stays physically inside your own building.
Signed module traffic
Requests and webhooks between the console and cloud modules are HMAC-SHA256 signed with replay protection.
Encrypted credentials
Stored cloud credentials are encrypted at rest. The Azure module uses Managed Identity — no shared secrets in your subscription.
Strong account security
Passwords are hashed with Argon2id, and multi-factor authentication (TOTP) protects console access.
Organisation isolation
Users, credentials, jobs, and files are isolated per Organisation in a strictly multi-tenant data model.
Least-privilege cloud access
Cloud roles are scoped to what backup and restore actually need — reviewed templates, no broad admin rights.
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers before you talk to us.
Which clouds do you support?
AWS (EC2 instances) and Microsoft Azure (virtual machines). You can start with one provider and add the other later — the console and workflows are the same.
What exactly is backed up?
Compute disk snapshots of your cloud VMs, taken on the schedules you define. Where configured, full VHD/RAW disk images are also downloaded to your on‑prem NAS.
Where is my data stored?
Snapshots stay in your own cloud subscription/account. The optional image copy is stored on a NAS in your own building or warehouse — under your physical control.
Do I need an on‑prem NAS?
No. The NAS copy is optional. Many customers start cloud-only and add the local copy later for compliance or extra resilience.
How is the platform deployed?
The Azure module installs from Azure Marketplace into your subscription using Managed Identity. The AWS module is set up with a guided CloudFormation template. No agents inside your VMs.
How do restores work?
Restore VMs in the cloud directly from snapshots, or recover from the locally stored disk image. All restore jobs are orchestrated and tracked in the console.
How do I get started?
Request a demo and we’ll walk you through a rollout plan: connect one cloud, validate a backup and a restore, then expand to the rest of your estate.
